Travel learnings

Hello Reader,

Umm, this week also I am not writing anything about technical stuff. I have been doing a bunch of things sitting in front of my laptop. I actually love what I am learning and doing in the technical field, may it be web development, video editing, graphics designing or anything. It makes me feel happy and accomplished. I enjoy my work a lot. I kind of feel productive while I write a code. I love solving problems using technology.

Indeed I am in love with whatever I am doing right now. But sitting in the chair and smashing the keyboard is not only a thing that I wish to be doing for the rest of my life. I mean, I want to do it but not 24*7. I do love chilling, having time for myself, travelling, meeting friends, living in the moment and creating memories.

I wish to have more balance in my daily routine. Somedays, I am coding the whole day and night. And some days, I will be chilling and having fun throughout the day. And, I don’t know whether this happens to you or not, like you are somewhere outside with your friends and your mind be like thinking about the work and you couldn’t enjoy it fully. It literally feels like hanging in between earth and sky. I want to make it more balance so that I could do my work and have time to have fun without any regrets.

And I guess these things slowly improves with time. So, I won’t be putting much pressure on myself to change. I also believe travelling has a lot to teach in understanding your life. I stayed alone on Bhairahawa for a few days. So, let me share four life lessons ^_^ haha…:-

  1. You have faith in your decision.
You are most likely to make many random choices throughout the journey. Because there will be no one to tell you what is good or wrong, you must have the confidence to believe your own instincts. You begin to realize that the best choice is usually your gut feeling.
  2. You are responsible for your destiny.
You have no one else to blame except yourself. You are one who must take responsibility for everything. You face up to your mistakes, learn from them, and move on. Above all, you will not be criticizing.
  3. You learn to relax.
Working days can be heavy at times. You have several tasks to perform, as well as some deadlines to meet. However, when travelling, you will learn that while you have goals, the journey is just as important as the destination. You'll learn to take a deep breath and take a step back to enjoy the fresh air.
  4. You'll discover what type of person you are.
There is no one to judge you or affect your actions because you are alone. You have complete freedom to do anything you want, whenever you want, and anywhere you want, whether it's roaming aimlessly through a city, entering strangers' parties, bargaining with shopkeepers, or anything.

So that is it. Reader, feel open to adding more to the list or share what's new in your life. And starting from this week, I am back at work. I am preparing myself to put some content on YouTube as well. Hopefully, I will be starting from Baisakh in the coming year.

Have a great time. And I wish you have a great life ahead.

Regards,

Basan.

Hello Reader, What does selfishness mean to you? Is it about thinking about “me and myself”? Is it the decisions we make without thinking about how our action affects others? Or is it all about not caring about anyone else? Or is it more about self-love? If I had to define selfishness, I'd say it's being more focused on yourself without harming the lives of others. I'm not sure why some people assume it so much negative. Selfishness doesn't always have to be a bad thing. You want to be the...

Hello Reader, I found it amazing that many people on this planet quit their well-paying job to fulfil their fantasy of travelling alone. I found it crazy. Why would someone leave their job just to move from one place to another? Will they make money or do they just handle their expenses with their savings? And how long will that saving cover those expenses? And now next question is, who doesn’t love travelling? Who doesn’t like capturing the moment? Who doesn’t love exploring new places? Who...

Hi Reader, This week I want to share my learning from 12 rules to learn to code by Dr. Angela Yu. 1. Trick your Brain with the 20 min Rule No brain will perceive a 20-min task as a lot of effort and you end you tricking your brain to take advantage of your time. 2. Code for a Purpose Follow only those tutorials that make something, anything. Working on your project/ ideas is difficult but it also brings the biggest improvement in your coding ability. 3. There is no “perfect language to Learn”...
