Solo Travelling //

Hello Reader,

I found it amazing that many people on this planet quit their well-paying job to fulfil their fantasy of travelling alone. I found it crazy. Why would someone leave their job just to move from one place to another? Will they make money or do they just handle their expenses with their savings? And how long will that saving cover those expenses?

And now next question is, who doesn’t love travelling? Who doesn’t like capturing the moment? Who doesn’t love exploring new places? Who doesn’t love knowing about different communities? Who don’t love tasting different foods?

But how can everyone travel without worrying about finance? My answer is I don’t know.

I went through some interviews and blogs of a few solo travellers and found that they don’t just depend on one source of income. They have a continuous flow of cash from different streams at once. And those small amounts of money, when compiled becomes able to handle the lifestyle as a traveller.

Here is a summary of what I found about travellers:-

  • They rent - They don’t handle the keys to their neighbours when they are on a trip. They rent everything, their home, car, etc.
  • Online selling – Beautiful pictures are sold at a good price on online platforms. Also, when they travel they can write good content and publish an ebook. So, it’s a good source of passive income.
  • Tour guide – When you travel, travel and travel, and know every nooks and corner of that place, you can be a travel guide and get paid and travel at the same time. Isn’t it cool?
  • Travel blogger – Record the moment or write about it and publish it on different websites. Some websites provide money if you are travelling regularly and providing them useful content to the visitors. Travellers also have their own website to publish those articles and earn money when they brand for a company or by running ads.
  • Language teacher, guest lecturer – If somebody got better in the local language, or have a good understanding of that particular community, then s/he can help people learn that language and in return, money is earned. Also, when travellers are invited to some seminars or workshops, they get paid.
  • Get money in the street – street performing that is singing, dancing, telling jokes are a popular way of getting money from the crowd. It should be enough to buy travellers a meal. But in some countries, it is forbidden to perform on roads.

So, this is what I found. Feel open to adding more to the list. And take good care of yourself. I will write to you next Sunday. Keep smiling, keep hustling.

Have a great week!!

Regards,

Basanta.

Hello Reader, What does selfishness mean to you? Is it about thinking about “me and myself”? Is it the decisions we make without thinking about how our action affects others? Or is it all about not caring about anyone else? Or is it more about self-love? If I had to define selfishness, I'd say it's being more focused on yourself without harming the lives of others. I'm not sure why some people assume it so much negative. Selfishness doesn't always have to be a bad thing. You want to be the...

Hello Reader, Umm, this week also I am not writing anything about technical stuff. I have been doing a bunch of things sitting in front of my laptop. I actually love what I am learning and doing in the technical field, may it be web development, video editing, graphics designing or anything. It makes me feel happy and accomplished. I enjoy my work a lot. I kind of feel productive while I write a code. I love solving problems using technology. Indeed I am in love with whatever I am doing right...

Hi Reader, This week I want to share my learning from 12 rules to learn to code by Dr. Angela Yu. 1. Trick your Brain with the 20 min Rule No brain will perceive a 20-min task as a lot of effort and you end you tricking your brain to take advantage of your time. 2. Code for a Purpose Follow only those tutorials that make something, anything. Working on your project/ ideas is difficult but it also brings the biggest improvement in your coding ability. 3. There is no “perfect language to Learn”...
